About Me
After I rode my first mountain bike, a bright red 1985 Norco Sasquatch, I was hooked. The freedom to go anywhere on two wheels under my own power was exhilarating. I’ve owned a few trusty steeds over the years but haven’t lost that feeling I get while out in nature on the trail.
In 2001 I volunteered to help out the South Island Mountain Bike Society. Over the next six years, five of which were as a board member and one as president, I undertook many tasks, as volunteers do. I stepped down from the board in 2007 to move on to bigger projects.
I joined the IMBA Canada team as a volunteer rep for BC in 2004 and ramped up my efforts to help the cause in 2007. As I said in the announcement of this blog, BC is a huge province and obviously I can’t know what’s going on in every region. If you need some help, let me know and I’ll do my best to assist you.
